Donations to the Fagan Foundation Currently Support the Tsum Valley Education Fund

The Fund supports Compassion School in Lamagaun, Tsum Valley, Nepal, helping strengthen local education through better teaching, residence support, facilities, meals, and learning resources. Stronger local education gives families a better option during a child’s early years and may reduce the need for children to leave the valley at a very young age.

The Foundation has made current defined commitments of approximately $310,000 CAD, including a greenhouse project and three years of operating support. Donations are still needed to help fund these commitments, and additional support is required as the Foundation works with local leadership to develop future education pathways for students beyond Grade 5.

Current Commitments

Greenhouse Project: Approximately $35,000 CAD. Supports student nutrition and school meals.

Operating Support: Approximately $275,000 CAD over three years. Helps keep Compassion School functioning.

Beyond Grade 5: Longer-term priority. Supports the Foundation’s long-term objective of helping students continue their education.
